About Eden Diebel

Eden began his commercials directing career in style, being selected by London’s Campaign Magazine in 1998 as one of the 10 Best New Directors in the World, on the basis of two self financed test films. That same year he was selected for the prestigious Saatchis showcase in Cannes.

The following year he was in Cannes again, picking up a Bronze Lion for France Telecom, announcing a growing body of work in the UK, Europe and the USA. Further awards followed including Kinsale, The Canadian Advertising Awards and The Midsummer Awards London. In 2001 he was nominated as one of the top twenty directors in the world in Shoot Magazine USA.

In 2001 he directed the short film ‘Muffin’ which was shortlisted for the Raindance Festival in London and subsequently purchased by Channel 4 in the UK and screened on their Film4 Channel. Muffin opened for Todd Solodnz’s ‘Happiness’ at the Odeon Leicester Square in 2001.

In 2005 he visited the Cannes once more, picking up two Gold Lions for the viral campaign he created for Appealnow.com.

Since then Eden has been based in Sydney directing for clients such as Volkswagen, Bupa and National Bank New Zealand. He is currently in pre-production on another short film ‘Soop’.

He is also a successful photographic artist with three one-man exhibitions in Sydney over the last three years. He is represented by The Black Eye Gallery in Sydney.
